Tool Life Management & Predictive Maintenance
Ensuring Optimal Tool Utilization
Our Tool Life Management & Predictive Maintenance
system provides continuous, automated monitoring of critical tooling components to ensure they are replaced at the optimal time—maximizing service life while preventing unexpected failures.
By integrating directly with production line PLCs, the system delivers
real-time cycle tracking, secure SQL-based data logging, and intuitive visualization for fast, informed maintenance decisions.
Key Features
Cycle-Based Wear Tracking
Monitors actual operating counts for each tool against its configured maximum life.
Real-Time Visual Status
Color-coded indicators (Green/Yellow/Red) for instant recognition of tool condition and urgency level.
Detailed Tool Mapping
Interactive plant layout showing the exact position and status of each tool in the process line.
Reset & History Functions
Maintenance teams can reset tool counters after replacement, with history logs stored for traceability.
System Workflow
The Tool Life Monitoring system is engineered to interface directly with the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), enabling precise, automated capture of tool usage metrics.
1.Cycle Data Acquisition
via PLC
The PLC continuously records the operational cycle count for each monitored tool, ensuring accurate measurement of tool utilization.
2.Automated Data Logging
Tool life data from the PLC is transmitted to the monitoring application, which records it into a centralized SQL Server database for secure, structured, and traceable storage.
3.Real-Time Data Processing & Visualization
The system processes incoming cycle count data and renders it in a graphical dashboard, clearly displaying tool wear status against predefined maximum life thresholds.
4.Condition Classification
ools are categorized in real time using a color-coded status scheme (Normal, Warning, Alarm) based on their percentage of target life consumed.
